Jobs in Goa: Goa Public Service Commission has announced recruitment notification of Group C posts (Non - Gazetted) to be filled on a temporary basis. Candidates are requested to apply for the following posts on online mode
1. Name of the Post: Junior Assistant
No. of Post: 01 (OBC)
Scale of Pay: Level 2 - Rs. 19,000/-
What are the Educational Qualification Requirement to apply for Junior Assistant :
- The candidate should have Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute.
- The candidate should also have a Certificate in Computer Education of at least three months duration
- Candidate should have knowledge of Local Language Konkani and knowledge of Marathi is desirable.
What is the Age Limit to apply for Junior Assistant :
- The Age limit of the candidate should be below 45 years.

Scale of Pay: Level 2 - Rs. 19,000/-
What are the Educational Qualification Requirements to apply for Light Vehicle Driver :
- The candidate should have passed the Secondary School Certificate An examination from a recognized Board/ Institution. OR Successfully completed the course conducted by a recognized Industrial Training Institute.
- The candidate should also have a Driving License to drive a light vehicle.
- The candidate should have experience in light vehicle repairing and at least 2 years of experience in the same field.
- Candidate should have knowledge of Local Language Konkani and knowledge of Marathi is desirable.
What are the other requirements for the above posts :
- The candidates should have important documents ready before applying for these posts. The documents are employment card, residence certificate, educational certificate, caste certificate, and other relevant documents.

Other important details :
- Candidates do not need to submit any documents while applying for the position. Shortlisted candidates' candidatures will not be considered if they are deemed ineligible during the verification of essential qualifications even though the candidate passed the screening/ shortlisting examination.
- Original certificates/documents will be verified during the selection process.
- Candidates will be required to present original and legitimate certificates and documents such as Birth Certificates, Educational certificates, Employment card, residence Certificates, Valid Driving licenses to drive light vehicles.
- The candidates, who fail to produce the requisite original and valid certificates/documents when called upon to do so, shall be eliminated from the recruitment process.
Written test and syllabus details :
- CBRT will be conducted following are the details :
- Junior Assistant :
- No of Questions: 60
- Total Marks: 60
- Duration: 1 hour
- Passing percentage: 50%
- Passing Marks: 30
2. Light Vehicle Driver
- No of Questions: 50
- Total Marks: 50
- Duration: 1 hour
- Passing percentage: 50%
- Passing Marks: 25
What is the syllabus for the above post :
For Junior Assistant :
- General English including Grammar 10 Marks
- English Comprehension 10 Marks
- Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability 30 Marks
- General knowledge, Current Affairs and Events of National and International importance 5 Marks
- General knowledge including History and Geography related to the State of Goa 5 Marks
- Total 60 marks and duration is 60 minutes
For Light Vehicle Driver: 50 marks and 1-hour duration will be given to answer
Light Motor Vehicle: 30 marks
- Checks for road worthiness of vehicles
- including basic daily technical checks
- Documentation required for vehicles
- Safety checks and understanding of Gauges, warning lights and aids while driving
- Basic diagnostics for fault finding and repairs
- Traffic regulations, traffic signals, signs and road markings
- General conduct on road
- Cleanliness and hygiene and other related topics
General Knowledge on Goa: 10 marks
- Rivers and Lakes
- Villages, Towns and Talukas
- Tourist spots and places of importance and other related topics
Basic Arithmetic: 10 marks
- Decimals
- Multiplication
- Division
- Addition
- Subtraction
- Squares and roots
How the selection will be carried out
- Ok the selection procedure is quite an interesting topic so for junior assistant selection will be done on a merit list based on the CBRT test and for driver, the candidate will have to pass the driving test before selection.
What if two or more candidates get the same marks?
- In that case, The Candidate older in age as per the birth certificate provided shall be placed higher in the merit list, and in case the date of birth is also the same then,
- The Candidate possessing recognized higher educational qualifications will be placed higher in the merit list.

Note: 1 . Candidates must pay application fees of Rs. 200/- once the application form has been filled out correctly.
2. Only after successful payment candidates can download their application form
3. Applications with fees paid after the deadline will be summarily rejected, and no refund will be given.
There are two ways you can do it :
Online :
- Make online payment and download the e receipt showing successful status
Offline :
- Generate e-challan
- Make cash payment of Rs. 200 at any SBi Branch in Goa only
- Bank stamp is mandatory on this e-challen and Stamped e-challan to be produced to the Commission’s office on or before the last date of submission of application.
